Junior Bake Off
Ham Fair is once again running a competition for all young cooks.
There are three age groups/categories:
Age 5 – 7 – Five decorated biscuits
Age 8 – 9 – Three to five decorated cup cakes
Age 10 – 11 One decorated sponge cake
Note to adults: Whilst judges accept that children will be helped with some aspects (using a hot oven for example), they will be looking for entries which reflect the child’s own work and inventiveness!
Entries should be accompanied by a small card showing first name and age on the front, with a mobile number of parent/guardian on reverse so prizewinners can be contacted. Ideally cover your biscuits or cake(s) with a clear cover.
No pre-registration required. Simply bring your entry on Fair Day (Sat 8 June) to the large white marquee on the south side of Ham Common between 1:00pm – 1:30pm.
**If you need to drop off an entry earlier, please make sure it’s in a cool box and give to the Marquee steward at the desk. Organisers can take no responsibility for entries which are eaten by hungry stewards or roving dogs.
Winners will be announced at 2.30pm and entries can be taken away at this time.
