Our Autumn 2022 talk will be “The Great Ham Aircraft Factory”. From 1917 our local factory built Sopwith planes that helped to win WW1, Leyland tanks in WW2, and designed and built the unique vertical take-off Hawker Harrier before closing in 1992.
Local expert David Hassard will remind us of this fascinating story on Thursday 6th October at 7.30 pm in the hall at Grey Court School. We should all be very proud of our famous factory and the thousands of people who worked there. David will tell you why! It promises to be a very informative evening.
Use the Sandy Lane entrance to attend. Admission £3. If you wish to reserve a seat, please email David Williams at .
