The Ham & Petersham Association has supported local causes for many years. To make it clearer and easier to apply for help the Association has drawn up the following criteria and method of application for local people to ask for financial support.
Objectives of Ham & Petersham Giving

The Association is dedicated to maintaining the special semi rural heritage of Ham & Petersham. Applications must show how they will achieve this in one or more of the following areas:

Developing volunteer activities
Fostering community spirit
Maintaining or improving the local environment
Improving public amenities
Enhancing features of beauty or historic or of public interest and amenity value
The application must be in accordance with the Association’s constitution

The Ham & Petersham Association will not fund:

Work that should be carried out by the local Council
Activities or projects not for the benefit of people living in Ham & Petersham
The highest award will be £3000 though we expect the more typical award to be £500. Applications from local people should be made in writing to in less than 500 words showing how they will meet these objectives. The decision will be made at the next committee or by email should the application be more urgent. We will ask for evidence after the activity.

The Ham and Petersham Association will not fund activities or projects not for the benefit of people living in Ham and Petersham, and may decide not to fund work that, in the opinion of the Committee, should be carried out by the local Council.
